Hulkling & Wiccan by Joe Phillips.
Interesting how the artist decided to have Teddy’s skin in green. Perhaps to help us better identify Teddy as Hulkling, thereby facilitating our recognition of the other guy as Billy?
This Tumblelog is dedicated to
Wiccan, aka William "Billy" Kaplan, who was formerly known as Asgardian. Wiccan is a member of the Young Avengers, a superhero team set in the fictional universe of Marvel Comics.
Wiccan and the rest of the Young Avengers--except Stature and Vision--were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung.

I wish they had used this cover as a variant or something. I fell in love with this guy’s art after reading Superman: Birthright.

“Billy’s Firsts”
This is the first time Billy is directly addressed as “Asgardian”, his former codename. Also, this is the first time his fanboy tendencies are made to show.

“Billy’s Firsts”
The fight scene at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The first subtle hint of a special relationship between Billy (as the erstwhile Asgardian) and Teddy (Hulkling) is dropped. It’s also the first time, out of many times, that Billy spams Teddy’s name.
“Wiccan”
My translation of the original Spanish-language blog post by crisart:
I finally made a small head of Wiccan of the Young Avengers, and I plan to make a bust with an arm.
The hair was tough to do. I wanted to make something somewhat simpler like these animé figurines, but it didn’t turn out right and I had to make it in the “realist” style.
Till next time! :D
“Billy Kaplan - Wiccan”
cris-art [DeviantArt]:
Billy, adult version…. I think he’d still be somewhat thin, with some muscle but nothing exagerated.
Billy’s the typical lean geek, so I can’t imagine him to be all muscular.

Not doing too good right now, but here goes- this is a fanart of one of my favourite characters.
Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan; a member of the Young Avengers. He’s a reality warper who likes to throw lightning around. Tbh, there isn’t much he can’t do… Marvel ahoy.

One of the most realistic renditions of Wiccan that I’ve ever seen.
“Billy’s Firsts”
The first time Billy and Teddy are shown together without the rest of the group, providing more evidence for their relationship this early in the series.
[I find this a bit weird. Teddy can fly right? So this scene between the two seems rather strange. Perhaps in order to maintain the appearance that Teddy is simply “just another Hulk”, Allan Heinberg refrained from showing that Teddy could fly until later on.
But, within the context of the story, why would Hulkling choose not to fly during this scene?]
