This Tumblelog is dedicated to

Wiccan and the rest of the Young Avengers--except Stature and Vision--were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung.

“Billy’s Firsts”
The fight scene at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The first subtle hint of a special relationship between Billy (as the erstwhile Asgardian) and Teddy (Hulkling) is dropped. It’s also the first time, out of many times, that Billy spams Teddy’s name.

“Billy’s Firsts”
The Young Avengers reveal to Captain America their real identities. Billy and his peers use their real names for the first time since we began our journey with them.
Of note is that Billy was the first to speak, even detailing the members of his family. He mentions his two younger brothers, who—to my knowledge—have never been shown.

“Billy’s Firsts”
Outnumbered and nearly overwhelmed by the Growing Man duplicates that surrounded them, Iron Lad orders Billy to use his “other powers”, which were heretofore undisclosed. This is the first time any hint of his relationship to the Scarlet Witch is made. [More on that last bit soon.]

“Billy’s Firsts”
After Iron Lad kills Kang the Conqueror—the former’s future self—, the world around the Young Avengers begins to change drastically. As one of the consequences of an altered reality, each of them began to disappear, starting with Billy.
